COLONIE - Richard A. LeBlanc, Jr., 48, passed away unexpectedly while on vacation with his family on Tuesday, August 4, 2015.
He was born on September 25, 1966 to Richard A. LeBlanc Sr. and Patricia (Tully) Klein.
Richie will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, coach and friend. His family was the center of his world, his greatest joy was spending time with them. Richard was the life of the party, always testing out his jokes. He took great joy in asking random trivia questions.
Richie had an extreme passion for sports, he was a die hard Red Sox fan. He coached many winning baseball teams in Colonie and Albany. He was a member of the Colonie Babe Ruth Organization for many years as well as an active member of the PTA for Colonie and Albany Schools. Prior to his retirement Richie worked for the U.S. Postal Service at the General Mail Facility in Colonie.
Richard is survived his loving wife, Cheri, mother Patricia (William) Klein, sons, David J. LeBlanc, Wayne M. Burt, Patrick M. (Jeannette) Bourey and Christopher D. Bourey, brother, Michael P. LeBlanc, sister-in-law, Leeanne M. Shade (Babe Palleschi), father and mother-in-law, Douglas E. and Martha Liscum, half brother, Timothy LeBlanc, grandmother, Patricia D. Cazasta, aunts, Janet C. White, Ann Kahle, nieces, Dominique N. Shade, Mikayla L. Shade, nephew, Tres L. Shade and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard A. LeBlanc, Sr..
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie, New York.
Funeral services will be private followed by a graveside service held at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
