September 14, 1947 — August 2, 2013

COLONIE-Richard A. Appley, 65 of Colonie passed away suddenly on Friday, August 2, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany. Mr. Appley was born in Schenectady, NY the son of the late James and Ann Marie (Yannotti) Appley. He has resided in Colonie for the past 37 years. Mr. Appley retired as a Foreman from Albany Bridge Corporation in Albany. He was an avid Yankee and Giants fan, enjoyed trips to the ocean and his dogs.

Mr. Appley is survived by his beloved wife Marcia (Winnowski) Appley, of Colonie; they would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary this October; his brother James (Clara) Appley of Saratoga Springs; brother-in-laws Ted (Sheila) Winnowski of Portland, Oregon and Walter (John Gilbride) Winnowski of Cape Cod; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Appley was predeceased by his brother Gerald Appley and by his twin sister Vicki Appley.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6:30 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to follow at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Reagan House c/o the Center for Disability Services, 314 S. Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Mr. Appley.
