Richard W. Boissy

Colonie- Richard W. Boissy, 76, passed away with his family by his side on July 21, 2018. The son of the late Raymond R. and Viola (Graves) Boissy, Dick was born on July 4, 1942 in Plattsburgh, NY. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. Whether it was for work or leisure, Dick loved to drive and get involved in any type of repair project.
In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Bonita "Bonnie" Boissy. He is survived by his son Timothy (Melissa) Boissy and daughter Debra (Travis) Colwell; his grandchildren: Alyson and Shawn Boissy and Brynn and Evan Colwell; his sister-in-law, Dolores Klein and his brother-in-law, James Klein.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, August 1 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 6 pm. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to a charity of one's choice.
