Albany- Richard Brashear, 85, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 16, 2016. Richard was born in New York City to the late Walter and Gretchen (Kramer) Brashear.
Sire worked for the NYS Comptroller's office for over 46 years. He will be remembered for his numbers, statistics, and his knowledge of retirement laws.
Richard was an avid Yankees fan; rarely missing a game, be it on TV or over the radio. He read any newspaper he could get every day.
He is survived by his extended family and will be dearly missed by his babies Avery and Madison.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 9am-11am at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie. A funeral service will be at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or any charity dealing with women's or children's welfare.
