LATHAM-Richard "Dick" Dildarian, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Astoria, New York. Dick proudly served in the United States Army in Germany during World War II. He retired from General Electric after 45 years of service. He enjoyed spending many years with his family on Loon Lake in the Adirondacks.
Dick was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Frances (Sunukjian) Dildarian and by his sister, Alice Keyishian.
He is survived by his daughters Lorraine (Reginald) Thorne of Glenville, Carol (Richard) Sherwood of Guilderland and Diane (Paul) Surabian of East Greenwich, Rhode Island and eight grandchildren, Matthew (Myra), Christopher, and Ryan Thorne, Richard and Jason Sherwood, Stephanie, Christine and Paul Surabian. Dick is also survived by his dear brother-in-law Harry Keyishian.
The family would like to thank the staff at Building #24 at Eddy Village Green for their compassionate care.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, April 3, 2015 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road., Colonie.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church, 100 Troy Schenectady Road., Watervliet, New York 12189.
Interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
