Richard E. Link, Sr.

COLONIE- Richard E. Link Sr., 84, of Colonie, passed away on Sunday May 25, 2008 at St. Peters Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Jacob and Katherine Sheehan Link.
Richard was a WWII Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theatre. He was an installer/repairman for New York Telephone Co. for 40 years before retiring. Richard was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a communicant of St. Clare's Church. He enjoyed boating. Richard was predeceased in 2001 by his wife Anna Pacella Link. He is the father of Richard E. (Kathleen) Link Jr. and Michael Link all of Colonie. He is the brother of Rita (Irving) Fisher and the late Jacob Link. He is the grandfather of Jennifer Link, Sarah Nichols, Erin Link, Ian Link, Brianna Link and Jammie Link. Great grandfather of Kaeliana Leigh Baldwin-Link and Kristi Lynn Nichols.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning at 9:00 at St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
