Richard Gould, Sr.

Richard Joseph Gould Sr., 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 after a long illness at St. Peters Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in Albany to the late Rufus and Sophia Gould. Richard worked for the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #7 where he later retired from in 1995. He was also a life member and past officer of the Polish American Citizens Club in Albany. Richard was also an avid golfer. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his brother Roger Gould and his step son Michael Browarski.
Richard is the beloved husband of Ethel Mesick Gould. He is the father of Richard Gould Jr. and two daughters; Barbara Jean and Nicole; seven grandchildren; ten step children; eighteen step grandchildren; three brothers Robert (Antoinette), Raymond (Catherine) and Ralph Gould; and a very special cousin Bertrand Gould.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday at 3:00pm at New Comer Cannon 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south Central Ave), calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 to 3:00. In keeping with Richards wishes, he will be cremated following the service. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road Albany, NY 12205.
