Guilderland- Richard E. Haas, 85, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016.
Dick was born in Whitesboro, NY on January 24, 1931 to the late James and Marie Haas. Dick will be remembered for his love of all sports. In his youth Dick excelled in football, baseball, basketball, and track. At that time he was one of the first "four letter-men." Dick was the loving husband of Joanne Haas for 66 years. Together they had one daughter, Colleen Hughes.
Dick is predeceased by his two brothers; James (Libby) Haas, and Robert Haas.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, his daughter, Colleen Hughes, his grandchildren; Alicia Hughes, and Scott (Jooles) Hughes, his siblings; Henry Haas, Dawn Inman, Donna Lee, Gary (Judy) Haas, June (Neil) Eberley, and David (Candice) Haas, and his sister-in-law, Diane Haas.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
