Richard J. "Dick" Johnson, 74, passed away on May 17, 2024.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Richard and Mary Johnson.

Dick attended Watervliet High School before enlisting in the US Army, serving as active duty from 1969-1971, and also in the reserves. He enjoyed playing on the local softball team, darts, fishing, and was a forever NY Jets and Mets fan.

In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by his brother, John Johnson and his sister, Rosemary Bultman.

He is survived by his brother, Paul Johnson; sister, Maureen Johnson (Sheila Allen); and several nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 10AM to 11AM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy-Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, with a service to follow at 11AM. Interment to follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
