Richard L. Biles, Jr.

COLONIE – Richard "Dick" L. Biles, Jr., 82, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 13, 2009 at his home.
Richard was born in Memphis, TN and was the son of the late Richard and Ruby (Wiggins) Biles, Sr. He served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952 and retired from General Electric in Schenectady. He loved his family. He enjoyed American Flyer model trains and driving.
Richard is the father of Kenneth Biles and Lorraine Biles Williams (Otto); brother of William Biles (Barbara); brother-in-law of Walter Yarbrough and Azile Johnson; grandfather of Otto Williams; and uncle of Charmaine Johnson, Steven Biles, Debra, Walter and Richard Yarbrough. He is survived by many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan Dorieta (Johnson) Biles and his sister, Doris Yarbrough.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. A calling hour will precede the service on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Saratoga Springs City School for the Benefit of the High School Naturalist Club, 1 Blue Streak Blvd, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in memory of Richard L. Biles, Jr.
