Richard E. Masterson

Troy- Richard E. Masterson, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was the son of Emma R. Masterson and the late Doyle R. Masterson.

After High School, Richard enlisted in the United States Marines where he served proudly.

Richard enjoyed helping his family, friends, and neighbors whenever he could.

Richard was an avid American History buff; he loved riding his motorcycle and deep-sea fishing. Richard enjoyed spending time with his entire family and his dog.

In addition to his mom Richard is survived by, his siblings, Debra (Masterson) Gagnon, Dawn Masterson, and Mark Masterson; brother-in-law, Jeff Gagnon; sister-in-law, Kim Masterson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Richard is predeceased by his nephews, Jason Covel and Mark Masterson Jr..

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Tuesday December 12, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a funeral service to begin at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard's name to a Humane Society of your choice.
