Richard N. Yowell

COLONIE-Richard (Dick) Yowell passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, December 21, 2015. Richard was born June 23, 1930 to the late Ozie and Frances Yowell.
Richard joined the Marine Corps in August of 1950. He is a veteran of the Korean War. He was also an atomic test veteran. After leaving the Marine Corps he went to work for the New York Central Railroad where he worked until he retired from Conrail in 1992.
Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horse racing.
Richard was predeceased by his brothers Milton, Ernie, Robert, and Eddie Yowell and his sister Shirley Cordi. He was also predeceased by his daughter Suzanne Yowell Hendrick.
Richard is survived by his longtime companion, Marge Naclerio and her loving family; his children, Charlene (Albert) Costa, Richard (Patricia) Yowell, and Daniel (Sabrina McCabe) Yowell; his grandchildren, Christine, Michael, and Joseph Costa, Erika and Jennifer Yowell, Mary and Kenneth Crowely, Danyell Burns, Nolan Yowell, and Nicole Obrien; and 13 great-grandchildren. Richard is also survived by his sisters, Evelyn LaMorta, Kathy (Jerry) Unser, Grace Fairley, and Joyce Volker.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 9:30am-11:30am with a service to immediately follow. Burial will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery.
