Richard R. Barhydt

Guilderland- Barhydt, Richard R., 94, passed away October 16th, 2014, at the Teresian House. He was the son of the late Richard and Clara Ruoff Barhydt and the brother of the late William Barhydt, and the father of his late baby daughter, Linda.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Gardner Barhydt, his son, Richard (Bob Soper) Barhydt of Sarasota, FL, his daughter, Andrea (Richard) Warren, of East Greenbush, two grandchildren; Richard (Stacy) Warren, and Dana (Nick) Camadine, his two great-grandsons; Dominick, and Zachary, and several nieces.

Richard was the retired vice president of Tusang-Barhydt Inc. He was very proud of his military service. He was in the second Marine Division during WWII, serving in Tarawa, Tinian, Saipan, Okinawa, and Nagasaki, and took part in the Battle of Tarawa.

Visitation will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY, on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014, at 10:00am, with a memorial service to be held at 11:00am.
