Richard M. Renkawitz Sr.

SCHENECTADY - Richard M. Renkawitz Sr. passed away peacefully with family by his side at the age of 68 on March 24, 2021. Having spent much of his life in Schenectady, he was a dedicated employee of The Daily Gazette for over 40 years.

Richard was a loving father and surrogate father to surviving children, Richard (Melissa) Renkawitz, Ron (Kathy) Renkawitz, John (Tina) Mulvaney, Shawn (Kerri) Mulvaney and Nobulee (David) Burgess and a loving brother to surviving siblings, Linda (the late Richard) Martinez, Donna (Kenneth) VonStettina and Rodman Renkawitz, as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beatrice and brother, R. Mark Renkawitz.

A private family service will be held in his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue Glenville, NY 12302.
