CLIFTON PARK-Richard L. Rivetz, 90 of Clifton Park passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Albany Medical Center. Mr. Rivetz was born in Salem, MA the son of the late Morris and Molly Samson Rivetz. He grew up and was educated in Massachusetts. Mr. Rivetz was a veteran of WWII. He retired from Albany County as a Career and Educational Counselor. At times, he made a living playing cards, along with being a chef and milliner. He was an avid Red Sox fan. As a big band musician, he played the piano and saxophone and especially enjoyed jazz and swing. Family was very important to Mr. Rivetz and he loved to listen to his grandson, Jake play the piano.
He is survived by his son Richie (Carol) Rivetz of Clifton Park, his daughter Barbara Coupe of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and his beloved grandson Jake Rivetz of Clifton Park. He is also survived by his best friend Patricia Finch of Watervliet and by a son Ronald Rivetz.
Services will be private.
Interment will be at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
