Albany- Richard S. "Rick" Volmer , 54, passed away peacefully after battling a long illness on Monday, August 8, 2016. Rick was the son of Anne Jabonaski and Richard W. Volmer and was the beloved husband and soul mate to the late Patricia Madigan.
Rick worked in the Laborers Local 190 for over 20 years. He enjoyed Horse racing, hanging out with friends, listening to music, camping, and partying.
Rick is survived by his mother: Anne Volmer; brothers: Kevin Volmer, Brian Volmer, and Jeremy Volmer; sons: Richard Volmer, and Nick Volmer; step children: Seth Ringel, and Jillian Ringel; grandchildren: Lidia, and Mia; along with many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Memorial calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, New York on Sunday August 21, 2016 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rick's name to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation at:
