Richard M. Sigley Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 5, 2021 at Fulton Center for Rehabilitation. Born in 1937 in Bethlehem, PA, he is the son of the late Richard M. Sigley Sr. and Dorothy (James) Sigley.
Richard graduated from Liberty High in Pennsylvania, before going on to receive his Master's in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University.
Dick, as he was known to his family and friends, met his loving wife Lucy while he was in college. They shared 56 wonderful years together, and had a son, Richard C. Sigley. They moved to Niskayuna in 1979, where the family still has a home to this day. Dick worked as an Electrical Engineer for General Electric in Schenectady, until his retirement in May of 1999.
He loved football, especially the NY Giants and the NE Patriots. Whenever he had the chance, he loved to watch his old Alma Mater Lehigh play a game. Dick was also a Philadelphia Phillies fan, and enjoyed watching the NY Mets with his wife and son.
He was an animal lover and had 6 Lhasa Apso's over the course of his life.
Dick loved his wife Lucy more than anything or anyone in the world and he is now back at her side in Heaven. He will be greatly missed by his son Rick and 2 dogs.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Lucy in 2019.
A graveside service will be held Thursday June 10, 2021 at 11am at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
