NISKAYUNA – Richard "Dick" T. Lazinski, 69, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Dick was born on December 16, 1944 in Schenectady and was the son of the late Stanley J. Sr. and Anastasia (Harasimowicz) Lazinski. He graduated from Linton High School and proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrician for General Electric in Schenectady for over 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and puppy sitting his grand"dog"ters, Nestle and Mocha.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Fanny "Fran" D. (Borchardt) Lazinski; his devoted daughters, Laurie Lazinski and Cheryl (Michael) Zinnershine; his brother, Stanley (Ania) Lazinski Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service with military honors will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the doctors and staff in the Radiology Department at Ellis Hospital for the care and support that was given to Dick.
