Cohoes-Richard D. White, 57, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Rich was born in Germany on April 22, 1960 to the late Richard and Maria White. He was a graduate of Cohoes High school and after graduation he joined the United States Army where he served his country honorably. In March 28, 1987 Rich married the love of his life, Dorothy. They were married for 30 years. Together they raised four children. Rich worked as a mechanic for Simmons Machine and Tool in Menands, NY for over 30 years. Rich will be remembered for his love of Classic Rock, the Washington Redskins, and traveling to Germany. Rich was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His passion in life was his family.
Rich is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, his children, Edward (Ryan) Birch, Richard (Jodi) Birch, Howard (Sherry) Birch, and Dorothy Faulkner, his siblings, Walter (Susan) Fluhr, Ronald (Sharon) White, David White, Maria Kirby, and James (Tammy) White, his 11 grandchildren, and his three great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:00. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens, Colonie, NY.
