Rigoberto Balls-Suarez Sr.

ALBANY- Rigoberto Balls-Suarez, Sr. (Grampy), age 65, passed away suddenly on May 9, 2023 at his residence.

He was born in Puerto Rico, the son of the late Antonio Balls-Suarez and Luzmaria Ruiz-Colon.

Rigoberto was predeceased by his brother Richard, sister Louisa, uncle Jerry, mom Andrea, dad Pedro, grandmother Vera, daughter in law Sabina, grandson Gunnar, and uncle Louis Sr. and other friends and family.

He was a very hardworking father and husband. He raised 5 children (and the whole neighborhood) on a single family income. He would teach anyone to hunt, fish, shoot archery or gun and teach you how to work. He was very stubborn and did things his way-even to his death. He loved everybody unconditionally. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and doing wildlife viewing excursions to the countryside.

Rigoberto is survived by his wife, Patricia; children: Rigoberto Jr., Antonio, Miguel, Luz, and Orlando (Spanky); 27 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Maria, Andrea, Edwin, Johnny, Crucita, Herminio, Robert, Angie and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Tuesday May 16, 2023 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to share memories following at 3 p.m.
