Rise Annette Turner

LATHAM – Rise Annette Turner, 61, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, surrounded by her loving family.
Rise was born on June 3, 1944 in Derby, CT to Mary Carpp Lieder LaBranche of Ansonia, CT and the late William Lieder. She graduated from Ansonia High School in Ansonia, CT. Before she married, Rise worked for Sikorsky Aircraft in Shelton, CT and then General Dynamics in New London, CT.
In January of 1977 Rise move to Latham and was currently employed through the North Colonie School District, primarily at Shaker High School for over 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and the outdoors.
In addition to her mother, Rise is survived by her former husband, Warren J. Turner of Latham; her children, Jean E. Turner of Daytona Beach, FL, John R. Turner of Latham and Jennifer L. Turner and her fiancé, Todd R. Friend Sr. and her cherished grandchildren, Todd R. Friend Jr. and Mikayla L. Friend, all of Colonie; her brothers, William A. "Corky" (Connie) Lieder of Oxford, CT and Richard D. (Danielle) Lieder of Seymour, CT. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 12 noon at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road in Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 to 12 noon on Sunday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244 in memory of Rise Annette Turner.
