Albany-Rita A. Buonanno, 71, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 16, 1951 daughter to the late Giuseppe Cesare and Rosaria Falzarano in Sant'Agata de' Goti, Italy. She was predeceased by her brother, Tommaso Cesare.
Rita will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her most cherished memories were always the times she spent with her family and friends. She especially cherished her role as a grandmother to her 5 beautiful grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered and very deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Rita is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Antonio Buonanno; their children, Anna Buonanno (Paul Hunt), Margaret Buonanno (Robert Aguilera), Alessandra Buonanno (James Tardy); grandchildren, Aidan Hunt, Conor Hunt, Owen Aguilera, Audrey Aguilera, Olivia Tardy; sister-in-law, Antonietta D'Apice; nieces and nephews, Rosaria Cesare (Gaetano Buono), Catia Cesare (Lucio Ianniello), Sara Cesare (Vincenzo Falzarano), Giuseppe Cesare.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 9am at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St, Albany, NY 12203 (by CVS). Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 5-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New
Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
Interment will follow Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
