Rita F. Mero

NORTH ALBANY – Rita F. Duclos Mero, 82, formerly of North Albany, entered into eternal rest on Friday February 18, 2011. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria Duclos.
Rita was predeceased by her loving husband Donald J. Mero and her daughter Mary Ann Mero. She had graduated from Cathedral Academy and was active with the Sacred Heart Church Altar Rosary Society.
Rita is the beloved mother of Vicki Mero, Doug (Julie) Mero, Teri Ann (Brent) Martin and D. J. Mero (Al Masciolo). She is the sister of Shirley McLinsky, Lorraine (Warren) Hedden and the late Joseph Duclos. Rita is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am at the Infant of Prague Chapel at the Teresian House. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. In recognition of the wonderful care and support, the family would prefer that expression of sympathies be made to the Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Rita F.
