Rita G. Alesandrini

NISKAYUNA –Rita G. Alesandrini, 64, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Delbert and Betty Jo (Absher) Hoglund.

Rita, a Navy dependent, was born in Norman, Oklahoma, but traveled in her youth to California, Colorado and Florida with her family. She settled in Albany were she became a loving wife to Thomas J. Alesandrini and mother to her six children. Her greatest joys were family reunions, dinner parties and game nights with friends.

Rita was the wife of 40 years to Thomas J. Alesandrini; mother of Thomas M. (Sharron) Alesandrini, John A. Alesandrini, Joseph Alesandrini, Eric (Christina) Alesandrini, Mike (Cathy) Alesandrini and Gina Alesandrini, and grandmother to Colangelo, Chloie, Naomi, Sean, Sophia, Mia and Kayla.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
