ALBANY- Rita M. Hooley, 88, passed away on January 22, 2019.
Rita was the wife of the late John C. Hooley.
Born in Glens Falls, she graduated from Schroon Lake Central School and Union University School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 41 years, retiring from Sunnyview Rehab facility in 1992.
Rita enjoyed traveling, reading, and floral arranging.
She is survived by four stepsons, Jack Hooley (Cathy), Larry Hooley (Nancy), Timothy Hooley and James Hooley; four step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany NY 12205 at 12pm. Visitation will be from 11am-12pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Schroon Lake Community Church or a charity of your choice.
