Cohoes---Rita Rose Ceccucci
Passed away peacefully on March 25, 2007, during a brief stay at the Julie Blair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albany. Born and educated in Cohoes, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Yarter Carpenter; and step-daughter of Dennis (Dinny) Hogan. She was predeceased by brothers, Charles and Joe; sisters, Betty, Agnes, Mary and Clara.
Rita was a lifelong resident of Cohoes, having lived most of her years on The Island, in the house built for her by her husband of sixty nine years, David.
Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her travels were limited, but her Heart was in New York City and Hollywood, California.
She is survived by her husband, David M. Ceccucci ; her beloved daughters, Louise (Fred) Brady of Colonie; Eileen Ceccucci of Cohoes; sons, Randy (Judy) Ceccucci of Knoxville, TN; Gary (Sandy) Ceccucci of Reston, VA;
David (Christine) Ceccucci of Latham.
Grandmother of Michell(Stephen)Follett; Darren(Erin)Ceccucci;Garen(Becky) Ceccucci;David(Samara) Ceccucci;Kendra Ceccucci.
Great grandmother of Mia, Ryan, Adison, Grady.
And her constant feline companions, Ebony and Murphy.
Also, the family would like to extend a special thank you to the fourth floor staff of Julie Blair for making Mom's stay special.
And to Sister Jane for your prayers and comfort… thank you for… bringing Mom Home.
