Rita M. Sobczak, (nee Kausner), 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Eddy Memorial Nursing Home in Troy, NY. Rita was a lifelong resident of the Buffalo, NY area. Rita was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Kausner (nee) Solly; dearest mother of Diane M. Rosen, Marianne Sadowski, and David (Susan) Wanser; loving grandmother of Tony Sadowski, Brian Sadowski, Christopher Clark, Melanie Clark Mogavero, Shaun Sadowski, Marla Sadowski, and Garret Rosen. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rita was the devoted partner to the late Sandy Corbelli of Clarence, NY where they spent many happy years together.

Rita was a lifelong bowler and she enjoyed spending time with her entire family. Rita and Sandy participated in the New York State Senior Games and often won medals, placing in the top three. She also loved to go to Casinos with Sandy to play slot machines.

Rita was a proud member of the St. John Neumann Community and the Salvation Army at 960 Main St, Buffalo, where she and Sandy had many friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass on Saturday, February 13th at 9:30 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption, 1 St. Mary's Hill Lancaster, NY 14086. As you prepare to attend, face coverings and a 6-foot social distance from others is required at all times.
