Rotterdam- Rita Stone, 61, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 after a long illness. Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Marion and Chester Kiernozek.
Rita worked as a secretary at CDPHP in Albany. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved being around kids.
Rita is survived by her sister Bonnie Vanderbogart (Kirk). She was a proud aunt to six nieces and nephews and four great nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Tom Kiernozek, John Kiernozek, Alice Gorman and Kathy Kiernozek.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205. A service will begin at 7pm.
