Robert B. Fitzgerald

RENSSELAER – Robert B. Fitzgerald, 79, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010 at his home.
Robert was born on December 10, 1930 in Ballston Spa and was the son of the late Alfred and Marion Emily (Potter) Fitzgerald. He served in the US Army and Marine Corps from 1948 to 1957, attaining the rank of Private. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved his Irish heritage and listening to Irish music.
Robert is survived by his children, Richard, Robert (Debbie), Christopher (Beah), Shawn (Melissa), Debbie (Richard) Mann, and Mary Fitzgerald; his sister, June Fisher; 20 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Anne B. (Gizzi) Fitzgerald; his daughter, Tina Finch and his sisters, Patricia Stephenson, Marylou Rose Scenborn, and Dorothy Ruth Ravena
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment, Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
