GLENVILLE – Robert P. Beazley, 76, passed away on December 17, 2022 following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Brooklyn on September 6, 1946 a son of the late James and Kathleen (Forbes) Beazley.
Robert enlisted in the U.S. Navy and began serving on April 27, 1966. He proudly served on the Destroyer USS Blandy (DD-943) during its deployment with the Seventh Fleet off the coast of Vietnam. He participated in Operation Sea Dragon and earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Robert was a proud "tin can" sailor.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, James K. Beazley.
Robert is survived by his wife, Lynda (Sherman) Beazley; his children, Sean (late Rebecca) Beazley, Sara (Marvin) Veeder and James Andrew Pappas; 3 granddaughters, Madeline and Ruth Veeder and Kayla Beazley; 2 siblings, Steven (Zenny) Beazley and Pamela (Salvatore) LaMesa.
Services will be private.
