Robert Leon Boyd

Albany - Robert Leon Boyd, 85, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Robert was the son of the late George and Leona Boyd. Robert was the devoted husband to Joanne Boyd.

Robert was a sports fanatic - a devoted Giants and Rangers fan. Robert especially enjoyed watching his favorite teams with Bethanie. He also had a passion for NASCAR Racing - #9, Bill Elliott. Robert enjoyed the outdoors and used to love to go camping and golfing.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert and his family; his grandchildren, Tina Marie and Eric; his great grandchildren; his sister, Sally McCarthy; nieces, Laurie, Suean (Chuck), Cindy, Connie; nephews, Ronnie and Dickie; great nieces, Bethanie (Dave), Brianna (Bryan), and Gabrelle (Brian), Sammie; great nephew, Jacob; great great niece, Finlay; and many loving relatives and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his siblings, Georgie and Dickie.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY at 12:30 pm.
