NISKAYUNA – Robert "Bobby" C. Swett, 51, passed away on Saturday, August 06, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, NY, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Bobby was born on March 26, 1954 in Niskayuna and was the son of the Elaine Grigoleit and the late Clarence A. Swett.
Bobby was president of Swett and Swett, Inc. in Schenectady for 30 years. He graduated from Siena College in 2003 where he received his Bachelors of Business Management, Summa Cum Laude.
Bobby enjoyed making people laugh, fatherhood, and actively dating his soul mate. He obtained a US Patent in 1985 and was in the process of authoring his first book entitled "Millionaire Madness". He loved sending his children off to college with the knowledge that there are no limits to success. His hobbies included writing and golfing.
Bobby is survived by his passionate wife of 21 years, Lynn Fazziola Swett; he's the adoring father of Rachel Lynn Swett and Ryan Robert Swett; his identical twin and partner, Ricky (Cici) Swett; his mother, Elaine Bourst of Santa Monica, CA; his best friends, Douglas and Susan Stevens; his half brothers and sisters, Drew Polsun, Susan Swett, Sandra Kunkel and Jeffrey Swett; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Anne (Bruce) Austin, Frank (June) Fazziola, Lisa Avella; his loving nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Relation, Anya Austin, Paul Fazziola and Jennifer Yocum and several other nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Tuesday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at the Siena College Chapel in Loudonville on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary's Hospital Oncology Unit, 1300 Massachusetts Ave., Troy, NY 12180 or to Troy Family Physicians 400 Northern Dr., Troy, NY 12182 in memory of Bobby Swett.
