Robert John Campbell Jr., 60, died after a short illness on March 19, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany, NY on May 11th, 1963, the son of the late Robert J. Campbell Sr. and Shirley Murray Campbell.
He graduated from Bishop Maginn High School, class of 1981. In addition, he earned an Associates Degree in IT from Bryant & Stratton College in 2003. He worked in management for Grand Union and Sam's Club for many years until early retirement. Throughout his career, he was known for hard work, dedication and passion for helping others.
Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl, his children Keriann, Robert J. Campbell III, Kaila and Brea, grandsons C.J. and Justice. He is also survived by his two loving sisters, Cathy Lawlor (Brendan) and their children Briann Fredericks and Brendan Jr., sister Lynn Campbell of South Carolina, who has been with him for help and support the past four months. He will be missed by his loving companion, his dog Kayna Mae, who will miss her trips to Dunkin' for her donut.
Bob was a passionate Mets and Dolphins fan, and he enjoyed going to games with his family and friends.
Per his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
