ALBANY- Robert "Bob" M. Coleman, age 87, passed away suddenly on September 12, 2021.
He was born in Watervliet, the son of the late Basil and Mildred Coleman. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Coleman and brother, Gerald Coleman.
Robert was Honorably Discharged from the Air Force.
He rose through the ranks of the Albany Police Department starting as a Police Officer and retired as the Assistant Police Chief. In his retirement years, he also became a Commissioner for the Altamont Police Department.
Robert is survived by his four daughters: Karen, Deborah, Cathleen and Darlene; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a sister, Shirley. Also survived by two nephews and one niece.
All services will be private.
