Robert Couture

LATHAM, NY – Robert J. (Bob) Couture, 62, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2007. He was born in Cohoes and was the son of the late Romeo and Anna Larmore Couture. Bob was raised in Troy and educated at St. Peter's Academy and Troy High School. Mr. Couture retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1979. He was awarded the U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal for military service while serving at Ton Son Nuit Air Base in South Viet Nam in 1968 and 1969. Bob was a graduate of Realtors Institute. He worked in real estate since 1975 and was a licensed real estate broker since 1986. Bob was a certified New York State Real Estate Instructor, an accredited buyer's representative, a certified environmental inspector, a residential home inspector and specialized in representing buyers during their home purchases. Bob is survived by Sandra Gustin. He is the father of two daughters, Joanne Marie and Rebecca Ann and one granddaughter who all reside in England. He is the brother of Bernard Couture of Deland, FL, Thomas Couture of Latham, Marie Fera and Elizabeth O'Donnell both of Troy and the late Frances and Raymond Couture. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Veteran's Administration Hospital, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12209 in memory of Robert J. Couture.
