Robert D. Antonacci

Robert D. Antonacci, 66, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday, Dec 12, 2012 at his Residence with his family and friends by his side. He was born in Albany to the late Guiseppe Antonacci and Doris James. He was an active member of the Rotterdam Elks and worked for over 36 years at GE in Schenectady. Robert was a true handyman, who could fix anything. His hobbies included fishing, taking photos, playing golf, traveling and playing cards. He loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers and sisters; John James, Joseph Antonacci, Rosann Rock, Susan Antonacci and Linda Stafford.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of over 43 years, Linda (Burckhard)Antonacci, his beloved children Robert A. (Caitlin Smith) Antonacci and Joanne (Gary) Dymond. He is the cherished grandfather of Gary Jr., Christopher, Samantha, Garrick, Andrew and Douglas. He is the brother of Russell Antonacci and he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Schenectady County, 1411 Union Street Schenectady, NY 12308 in Roberts Memory.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Community Hospice of Schenectady County for all of the wonderful care given to Robert.
A Memorial service for Robert will be on Sunday at 1:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A Calling hour will precede the service from 12 to 1 at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
