Rensselaer – Robert D. Pelletier, 55, passed away Thursday December 23, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born in Albany, son of the late John J. and Camille Pelletier and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a Truck Driver, starting off with his father's company Pelletier and Sons and ending with Pumpernickel Express. He was a member of the Teamster Local 294 and the Clinton Heights Fire Department. He enjoyed golfing, building model boats, Saturday night card games and four wheeling. He was an avid NY Giants fan, but his greatest passion of all was his family. Robert met his wife and love of his life, Rose, while they were bowling and shortly after took her ice skating on their first date.
In addition to his beloved wife of 34 years, he is survived by their son Bob (Cinzia Iacono) Pelletier, siblings: John W. (MaryAnn) Pelletier, Betty Ann (Don) Poutre, Jeannine Pelletier, David Pelletier, Michael (Marianne) Pelletier, Kathy (Ray) Lifite, Roger Pelletier, Gregory (Maribeth) Pelletier, Donald (Debbie) Pelletier, Renee Bossoni, Laurie (Tom Herold) Staats and Lisa (Tony) Garcelon, many nieces and nephews and special friends Nick and Patty Chrysogelos. He was predeceased by his dear friend Peter Christo.
The funeral service will be Wednesday 9:30am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
