Robert A. Ferris, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 05, 2011, at Ellis Hospital.
Robert was born in Taunton, Mass. to the late James and Emma Ferris. Robert loved to travel, especially spending weekend trips with his grandson, Robert. He will be missed by all that loved him.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his loving wife of over 55 years, Elaine H. Ferris.
Robert is survived by his beloved daughters, Beth Ferris and Lonna F. Gauvreau and his cherished grandson, Robert W. Gauvreau.
Funeral services will be Friday at 12 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 to 12 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104, in Roberts's memory.
