Robert E. Fisher

Robert E. Fisher, 87, husband of the late Ruth L. Fisher, of Niskayuna, passed into Heaven, November 14, 2023 at Ellis Rehab Center.
Born, January 10, 1936, in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Elmer F. and Lillian Salisbury Fisher.
Mr. Fisher attended Van Rensselaer High School and then served in the US Army during the Korean War. He attended Albany Business College and worked for the State of NY for more than 30 years, first in the Thruway Authority and then in the State Comptroller's Office.
He was an active member at Princetown Church where he participated in adult Sunday school class and small group. He volunteered his time in the nursery at VBS and Mom's Group.
He is survived by his daughter, Jill and her husband Alex of Delanson, NY, and sons Mark and his wife Asa of Colorado Springs, CO and Jeffery and his wife Asako of Centennial, CO; 10 grandchildren: Amber (Nick), Ashley (Darin), Alexandra (Tom), Luca (Kerry), Benjamin (Heidi), Danielle (Ryan), Amanda (Michael), Lydia (Mike), Dylan and Hanna. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and by his beloved nephew, Stephen.
In addition to his wife Ruth, he is predeceased by his sister, Patricia and his brother, John.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Princetown Church, 3662 Giffords Church Rd, Duanesburg. Burial will be private.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to: Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 3662 Gifford Church Rd, Duanesburg, NY 12056.
