Robert G. Wise

Guilderland – Robert G. Wise, 68, of Guilderland, passed away suddenly on Thursday February 10, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Edward and Mildred Winnie Wise.
Bob served in the US army during the Vietnam War and was a Silver Star recipient. He had been employed as an investigator with several agencies including the Altamont Police and the Albany County District Attorney's Office. More recently, Bob worked for W.L. Coughtry in Albany.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Barbara Mull Wise. He is the devoted father of Robert Wise, Linda Bruder, Sheila Calautti and Edward Wise. Bob is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 9:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saratoga National VA Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
