Robert H. Stevens

COLONIE – Robert H. Stevens, 69 of Colonie, passed away on Thursday January 8, 2009 at the Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Augusta, Maine and was the son of the late Paul and Ella Howard Stevens. Bob was a veteran of the US Army. He was proud of his Native American Indian heritage. Bob was a self employed contractor for many years. He will always be remembered as hard working man that was dedicated to his loving family.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Carole Nugent Stevens; his sons Bobby (Colleen) Stevens and James Stevens. He is the cherished grandfather of Kevyn, Keyth, Tasheena, Taylor and James Stevens. Great grandfather of Izabella and Joseph Stevens. He is the brother of John Stevens of Mesa, AZ.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt.155-south of Central Ave). A service in celebration of Bob's life will follow at 7:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to the American Lung Association, 3 Winners Circle, Albany NY 12205 or to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany.
