Queensbury- Robert James Houghtaling III, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 8, 1955, to Doris (Jones) Houghtaling and the late Robert J. Houghtaling, Jr.
He is survived by his loving mother, Doris; his sister Dawn C. Bielawski and her husband David; his brother Lawrence V. Houghtaling and his wife Debra; nieces and nephews, April Downey, Jeremy Houghtaling and his wife Jillian, Jason Ellis, and Kaylee Houghtaling; great-nieces and great-nephew, Isabelle Downey, Jeremy Houghtaling Jr., Madison Ellis, and Cade Ellis.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Houghtaling in 2017.
Robert attended Burnt Hills High School, graduating with the class of 1973.
Robert's services will be held privately, honoring his wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Robert's honor.
