COLONIE – Robert J. Albright, 82, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2008 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany.
Robert was born on January 19, 1926 in Albany and was the son of the late Andrew A. and Grace (Brightmyer) Albright. He worked as a carpenter for NYS for many years, he then taught for the Troy School District for over ten years He served in the Army and Naval Reserves. He was a member of the Elks in Albany, the Polish American Club and the American Legion Joseph E. Zaloga Post 1520.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Mildred E. (Bartlett) Albright; his stepdaughter, Beverly (Anthony) Drevojan of Delmar, his sister, Miriam Anderson of Albany; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.
