Robert J. De Flumer, Jr.

ALBANY – Robert J. De Flumer, Jr., 44, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2008. Robert was born in Albany and lived in Albany for all of his life. He loved all animals, especially cats. Robert was the guardian of the Albany community's stray cats. He is the beloved son of Marie De Flumer of Albany and Robert J. De Flumer, Sr. of Pottersville. Robert is the devoted brother of Rene` Cossart and Kim De Flumer, both of Albany and Todd De Flumer of Brunswick. He is the cherished uncle of Timothy and Corey Unser and Andrew, Jordan, Kaitlin and Bianca De Flumer. He is the loving nephew of Donald (Josephine) Cote` of Rensselaer, Deborah (John) Deitz of Albany, Sandra (Lewis) Koleci of Cypress, TX, Brian Cote` of Albany, Mary (Laurence) Allen of Slingerlands and Carol (Leo) Sbardella of Loudonville. Also surviving is Robert's faithful feline companion, "Skippy-Jo."
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday morning at 10:30 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Whiskers Animal Benevolent League, P.O. Box 11190, Albany, NY 12211 in memory of Robert J. De Flumer, Jr.
