Robert J. Hillmann

SELKIRK-Robert J. "Beeps" Hillmann, 81 passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Albany, NY the son of the late Harold and Esther (Newkirk) Hillmann. Mr. Hillmann has resided in Selkirk all of his adult life. He was a member of the Operating Engineer's Local Union # 106.
Mr. Hillmann is survived by his children Robert Hillmann and his fiancé Liz Casteel, Cynthia Schechter and her husband Lee and Melissa Thomas and her husband Dean; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and by a sister Elizabeth Zeronda .
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hillmann was predeceased by a son Steven Hillmann and by a brother William Hillmann.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 PM on Friday, July 26, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave. Menands, NY 12204 or to the Alzheimer's Association, Northeast New York, Pine West Plaza, Building 4, Suite 405, Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12205-5515 in memory of Mr. Hillmann.
