WARNERVILLE-Robert J. Perillo, 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at his winter residence. He was born in Schenectady, NY the son of the late Joseph and Elsie (DeMeo) Perillo. He graduated from Draper High School and he earned a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Indiana Technology Institute in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He went to work for General Electric in Schenectady, NY for several years. He then became an entrepreneur opening several restaurants in Schoharie and Schenectady counties. Robert was a member of the Eagle's Club for over 40 years, Schenectady Sons of Italy, Duanesburg Rotary Club and the Dolphin Athletic Club in Edgewater, FL. He was an avid outdoorsman, including hunting, fishing and boating.
Robert is survived by his wife of 20 years Jennene (Hickok) Perillo; son Nicholas Perillo of Cobleskill; daughter Janis Long of Melborne, FL; sisters Joyce Sammo of Clifton Park and Joann Perillo-Lasky (John) of Schenectady; grandson Chase Long; granddaughter Breanna Perillo; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his father and mother in law Richard and Roberta Hickok of Schenectady.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Monday, December 15, 2014 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Princetown Rd., Rotterdam.
Interment will be at Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Halifax Health Hospice, halifaxhealth.org/hospice in memory of Robert.
