Robert J. Roseberry

COLONIE – Robert J. Roseberry, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at his residence. Born in Ithaca, he was the son of the late C.R. and Mary E. Roseberry.
Robert was a resident of the Capital District for most of his life. He was a graduate of Cornell University. Robert worked for Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory for 40 years as a reactor physicist. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. Robert was a lifetime member of the Colonie Fire Company, serving as a past president. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #1040 of Delmar and the Northeast Section of the American Nuclear Society.
Robert was predeceased by his wife, Jacquelyn R. Roseberry in 1999, and son Keith E. Roseberry in 2009.
Robert was the father of Valerie A. Roseberry of Colonie; brother of Richard D. Rosenberry of Ravena; grandfather of Amy R. Roseberry of Colonie, and Robert K. Rickson of Schenectady; lifelong friend of Marge Jubert of Guilderland. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Colonie Fire Company, 1631 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12205 in Robert's name.
