ALBANY, NY – Robert J. Walsh, 74, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, surrounded by his family. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ruth Walsh. He was a resident of Albany for 45 years. Mr. Walsh attended the University of Maryland and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960. He worked in construction for many years, including projects at the South Mall, Albany International Airport, Knickerbocker Arena and S.U.N.Y. Albany. Robert was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Albany. He is survived by his wife, Heidi; his children, Valerie, Robert, Monica, Brendan and the late Andrew; his siblings, Patricia, John and Grace; and his grandchildren, Fin, Gus, Heidi and Harry.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave).
