Robert George Johansen

Robert "Bob" G. Johansen, 75 of Watervliet, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded
by his loved ones on Monday, August 7, 2023.
Born January 8, 1947 in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Warren A. and Dorothy (Roux)
Johansen Sr.
Bob attended Lansingburgh High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He worked for years as a registered nurse at Albany Medical Center, Samaritan Hospital and
The Manor Nursing Home. Prior to becoming a registered nurse, he worked for the City of
Menands.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid reader. He also loved sitting out in the
backyard with Billy and Michael talking about everything from politics to cars and shopping and
going to breakfast at the diner with Rachel and Juliet. His Wednesday evenings were happily
spent talking with his sister Candace.

He is survived by his daughters Rachel and her husband Bill Bonesteel of Watervliet, NY and
Emily Laurica and her husband Scott Laurica of Troy, NY; his grandson, Michael Bonesteel and
his granddaughter Juliet Bonesteel of Watervliet. He is also survived by his
sister Candace Scott of Saratoga Springs, NY and by several nieces and nephews and is
predeceased by his brother Warren A. Johansen Jr.

To honor Bob's wishes there will be no funeral services.
