Robert J. Kurtzner, Sr.
January 12, 1928 — July 27, 2022
WEST ALBANY- Robert J. Kurtzner Sr., age 94, passed away peacefully at Shaker Place Nursing & Rehab on July 27, 2022.
He was born in Albany, the son of the late Edwin and Catherine Kurtzner. He was predeceased by his wife Angeline Kurtzner in 2005 and his three brothers: Edwin Jr., John and William.
Robert was a US Navy and US Marine Corps veteran, serving tours during WW II and Korea.
He enjoyed photography and free hand drawing.
Robert had a 34 year career at Tobin Packing as a Maintenance Mechanic until its closing, then continued working at the Maywood School until retirement.
He is survived by his son, Bob (Kathleen Newton); three grandchildren: Sierra Newton Caron, MacKenzie Kurtzner and Torrey Kurtzner. Also survived by three great grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
All services will be private at the convenience of the family.
